Madison Cook, MD

About: 

Dr. Cook is a PGY-2 resident. She is currently interested in pursuing a career in Trauma Surgery. She participated in a yearlong research program in Traumatic Brain Injury through the Medical Scholars Program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. Mayur Patel, and has an interest clinical outcomes research, health disparities, medical student education and commitment of service to underserved populations

About: 

Dr. DeWitte is a PGY-2 resident. She is currently undecided about her choice of specialty but is interested in trauma, critical care, and colorectal.

Meredith Hanrahan, MD

About: 

Dr. Hanrahan is a PGY-2 resident in General Surgery at Temple University. Before medical school, she worked in industry as an electrical engineer at Eaton Corporation and performed research in drug discovery at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson. She completed the NIDDK Medical Student Research Program in Diabetes at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She is undecided on her future specialty choice, but is interested in endocrine and vascular surgery.

Simran Kripalani, MD

About: 

Dr. Kripalani is a PGY-2 General Surgery resident at Temple University Hospital. Prior to medical school, Simran was an EMT. She has performed research in surgical oncology, end-of-life and palliative care, and medical education. Simran is passionate about the humanities in medicine as well as combating healthcare disparities. She is interested in a career in palliative care, surgical oncology, and GI surgery.

Sarah Macy Lawler, MD 

About: 

Dr. Lawler is a PGY-2 resident at Temple University. While she is currently undecided as to her future surgical specialty, she is potentially interested in breast surgery and colorectal surgery. Prior to residency, she performed research in value-based approaches to care in both orthopedic and colorectal surgery.
