After completing training in the internal medicine residency here, I chose to stay at Temple for my endocrinology fellowship because the faculty are excellent clinicians and educators, and the didactic curriculum provides a wide breadth of learning, including core curriculum lectures, journal club, tumor board and more. Being a large academic medical center, Temple attracts some of the more rare and interesting endocrine pathology while also providing the opportunity to master bread and butter diabetes care. I also appreciate that Temple places a strong emphasis on the role that the social determinants of health play in the management of patients' care.

I chose Temple for my endocrinology fellowship because I was looking for a balance of strong academic rigor, a wide variety of pathology, commitment to fostering a collaborative environment, and the privilege to serve a diverse community. Since I joined, I could not have asked for more support in learning a new hospital system or more dedicated faculty and team to be a part of. Providing care for the community in North Philadelphia is truly rewarding and offers a window into the depths of the endocrinology field. Temple has met every expectation I set for my fellowship training and I'm looking forward to my time here.
