Research Interests

Dr. Gao is a key investigator for several of Dr. Koch's federally funded research awards. He is primarily responsible for mouse, rat and rabbit physiology and gene delivery to rats, rabbits and pigs. He is responsible and extensively trained in cardiac physiology and cardiac surgery, specifically in rat and mouse models such as myocardial infarction.
