Program Activities
The Fels Institute Cancer Research URM Undergrad Program is a year-round research-intensive program consisting of laboratory research training, part-time (12h/week) during the Spring and Fall semesters and full-time (40h/week) training in the summer, under the supervision of pre-selected faculty mentors.
In addition to in person research, the program includes monthly activities geared to career development, improvement of writing and presentation skills.
Examples of activities include:
- Semester-based research progress presentations
- Description of fellowship and research program opportunities
- Description of graduate program opportunities and research careers open to Ph.D. holders.
- Networking sessions with scientists from diverse backgrounds, both personally and professionally
