The Department of Anesthesiology provides an exciting and innovative simulation-based learning curriculum for their resident physicians at Temple University’s William Maul Measey Institute For Clinical Simulation And Patient Safety.
Faculty members trained as simulation instructors, using the latest technology, challenge residents approximately once a month with routine perioperative and emergent clinical scenarios designed to prepare them for entry into the field of anesthesiology. Residents augment their clinical training with skills-based simulations in advanced regional techniques, fiberoptic bronchoscopy, vascular access, surgical airways, and echocardiography.
