Dr. Cash’s core responsibilities encompass programming for students, including working with student interest groups and developing class-wide and student-specific activities to guide and support students through the career selection and preparation process. She will work closely with Medical Education Deans, Student Affairs staff, Doctoring College Directors, and Academic Advisors at LKSOM to implement programs that foster professional growth. Additionally, Dr. Cash will also serve as the student contact for navigating the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), National Residency Match Program (NRMP), and the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP).
“I am excited to begin working with our medical students during one of the most important parts of their journey into medicine,” states Dr. Cash. “As students embark on their clerkships, they are paving the path for their medical career. I am privileged to be a part of their journey and help them shape the next phase of their medical career.”
An active member of the LKSOM faculty serving as a Clinical Pediatrics Professor since 2003 Dr. Cash received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, OH, and her Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, MD.
