How to Give

A Temple medical student in the Simulation Training Center.

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University offers a number of ways to make your gift. We are always happy to work with donors according to what works for them. Below are just a few options — if you don’t see the information you’re looking for, or if you have any questions, please contact us.

Mail

The easiest way to make your gift is either online, or simply mailing a check.

We accept checks in the mail, payable to Temple University, at:

Temple University
Institutional Advancement
P.O. Box 2890
New York, NY 10116-2890

Please note “Katz School of Medicine” or the specific fund on the check.

Matching Gifts

You can increase your financial impact if you or your partner’s employer has a matching gift program. Find out here if your company participates. Some institutions also match gifts by retirees.

Payroll Deduction

As a Temple University or Temple University Health System employee, you have the opportunity to make your gift directly from your paycheck.

Name or Endow a Fund

A named fund can go to work immediately, or can be established to exist in perpetuity, benefiting students and faculty for years to come.

Appreciated Securities

If you have held appreciated securities for more than a year, it is almost always to your advantage to contribute them directly to Temple, rather than selling them and donating the proceeds of the sale.

Gift Planning

By planning your gift to Temple, you can strategically meet your financial goals while making a meaningful contribution to the School of Medicine. Immediate and deferred tax advantages, as well as an increased income and effective rate of return, are just a few of the ways you may benefit from a planned gift.

Gifts in Kind

Some donors wish to give via gifts-in-kind, whether it be needed equipment, valuable historic artifacts, or other novel ways to donate.

Corporations and Foundations

Some of our most valuable partners are corporations or foundations with a philanthropic mission. Giving to the Lewis Katz School of Medicine may well help serve the mission of your organization.

If you have questions about these or any other potential giving options, please contact us. We want to make sure you find an option that is right for you.
