Temple University Hospital
The parent institution of the general surgery residency is an academic medical center located on the Health Sciences Campus of Temple University in North Philadelphia. TUH provides care to the people of the North Philadelphia community and a robust referral base. TUH is home to a very active level I trauma center, a ABA certified burn center, and the busiest pulmonary transplant program in the country. In addition, TUH provides services in oncology, colorectal, endocrine, transplant, thoracic, plastic and vascular surgery.
St. Christopher's Hospital for Children
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is a 188 bed pediatric hospital located in North Philadelphia. St. Christopher’s houses 1 of 3 level I pediatric trauma centers in the Pennsylvania and the only pediatric burn center in the area. They provide surgical services to all children from the extremely premature up to the age of 21.
Fox Chase Cancer Center
Fox Chase Cancer Center is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center located in North Philadelphia and is a part of the Temple University Health System. FCCC provides a unique opportunity for exposure to all aspects of cancer treatment and is a leader in innovative research and access to state-of-the-art technology in cancer care.
Temple University Hospital – Jeanes Campus
TUH-Jeanes Campus is a member of the Temple University Health System situated on the same campus as the Fox Chase Cancer Center. Their mission is to provide quality medical care to their local community. The surgical service provides exposure to general surgical, bariatric, vascular and thoracic surgery through faculty that are fully integrated into the Temple University clinical departments.
Atlanticare Regional Medical Center
ACMC is a bustling community health system with campuses located in Atlantic City and Pomona, New Jersey that provided a large volume of cases in the core general surgery areas and exposure to community based general surgery practice.
