Resident Wellness
The Temple University Hospital Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program is committed to addressing resident well-being by ensuring that our residents remain physically and mentally healthy while completing their training. Due to the increase in burnout among physicians nationwide, PM&R created a Resident Wellness Committee to focus on personal and professional growth and well-being of our residents. The Resident Wellness Committee is made up of the residency Program Directors, the GME Administrator, a Chief Resident, and members of each PGY level class. Together, the committee develops monthly activities and workshops for the residents to help establish a culture of wellness; activities including but not limited to happy hours, luncheons and dinners, seasonal festivities, mindfulness, charity work, and meditation.
