Residency Program
Thank you for your interest in the Temple University Hospital Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Resident Training program.
We are excited to announce our new collaboration to expand in the field physiatry with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital in Allentown, PA. Full-time and volunteer members of Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University faculty contribute their knowledge and experience in patient care, teaching, and research. Residents actively participate in lectures, grand rounds, seminars, journal clubs, conferences, clinical care, and research projects.
The Training Program includes numerous full-time and volunteer physiatrists and 26 residents. The teaching facilities include a university hospital, a large free-standing rehabilitation hospital, pediatric institute and hospital, and one teaching community hospital. There are unique opportunities for medical rehabilitation research and a large number of educational offerings occur throughout the years. Our standard program must be preceded by a PGY-1 training year and all applicants must obtain USMLE 3/COMLEX 3 certificates prior to starting residency as a PGY-2.
