Faculty Development

Anuradha Paranjape, MD, MPH, FACP

Vice Chair, Clinical Affairs, Department of Medicine
Professor, Medicine
Professor, Clinical Sciences

The goal of the Department of Medicine faculty development program is to support the Department of Medicine faculty in reaching their full potential and maximizing their contributions through cultivating excellence in the educational, research, clinical and service missions of the Department of Medicine, Lewis Katz School of Medicine and community.

The offerings complement LKSOM's faculty development efforts and the Department of Medicine research committee's mission to promote excellence in research for the department.

The faculty development activities of the Department of Medicine center around two main domains: formal presentations on topics of interest to faculty and peer observations of faculty.

In addition, section chiefs meet with faculty to discuss progress and set goals on an annual basis, as well as link faculty to external development opportunities within a specialty.
