The Department of Ophthalmology of Temple University Hospital and Lewis Katz School of Medicine prides itself in excellence in resident education, superior patient care and fosters an environment of investigational research. Our Department is composed of professional, dedicated and motivated faculty, residents and staff who continually strive for excellence. We value our team approach to anticipate change, develop appropriate strategies and implement solutions to the challenges we face together. We adhere to the code of conduct that embodies a high level of ethical, moral and legal standards within our organization. We practice these values in an environment where new ideas are welcomed and encouraged and people are empowered to assure continuous quality improvement. Our mission is to provide high quality eyecare to the local community and Delaware Valley, to train and educate highly competent Ophthalmologists, to teach basic Ophthalmology to medical students and to expand and contribute to the field of Ophthalmology by fostering research and medical education.
