Temple University offers a two-year comprehensive Infectious Diseases fellowship led by award-winning physician educators and scholars. We employ extensive bedside and didactic teaching in all areas of Infectious Diseases. Our fellows gain clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient general infectious diseases, HIV, sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis C, infections in patients with solid and liquid organ transplants, and infections in patients with malignancy. There are additional opportunities for clinical experiences in travel medicine, HIV and hepatitis care for correctional facilities, and gender-affirming care. Fellows can also work with our antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention committees.
Our clinical experiences provide the basis for scholarly activity, which includes research and quality improvement projects. Our fellows frequently present their research at local and national conferences and have published their work in a variety of journals.
Our fellowship provides a well-rounded experience that prepares fellows for a future career in virtually any realm of Infectious Diseases. Former fellows now have careers in academic medicine, private practice, HIV primary care, public health, and more!
