The Temple Gastroenterology Fellowship Program participates in the National Residency Matching Program. Details on the match can be obtained from the NRMP’s website at www.nrmp.org.

Applications are accepted until August 15. Interviews typically occur in September and October.

Please send your application through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service)

A complete application package consists of all requirements in ERAS common application form including:

  • Medical school transcript
  • USMLE Transcripts (Steps 1,2 and 3)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal Statement
  • Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the Chair or Program Director of the applicant’s residency program.

NOTE: For recruitment season for fellowship positions beginning July 1, 2023, ALL interviews will again be virtual via Zoom, per guidance from multiple national organizations - due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be no opportunity for in-person visits or second looks. After interviews, applicants will be mailed a folder with additional information about our program.

The Section of Gastroenterology welcomes and encourages candidates from under-represented minority backgrounds and women candidates to apply to our program. Eligible applicants will be considered based on their preparedness, aptitude, academic credentials, community service, communication skills, leadership ability, and personal qualities such as motivation and integrity. Applicants being considered for a position will be invited to virtually “visit” Temple in September-October for 4-5 hours, including interviews with several faculty, an in-depth program overview, and meetings with several current fellows. Invitations, interview confirmations and other correspondence will be sent via email.
